Basic Information

GOAT is an SDK and toolkit for building agentic finance applications that let AI agents act as economic actors. It is presented as the largest agentic finance toolkit and is designed for developers to create agents that can send and receive payments, purchase physical and digital goods and services, execute investment strategies such as earning yield and betting on prediction markets, swap and buy crypto assets, and tokenize assets. The project leverages blockchains, stablecoins and wallets as core infrastructure and provides TypeScript and Python quickstarts, example use cases and adapters to multiple agent frameworks. The core is intentionally lightweight and modular so developers install only the tools they need. The README includes contribution guides for adding plugins, chains, wallets and agent framework adapters and the project is MIT licensed.

Use Cases
GOAT speeds development of financially capable AI agents by providing ready-made integrations and adapters so agents can transact, trade, tokenize and interact with DeFi and commerce endpoints without building each connector. Developers can provision a wallet for an agent, enable cross-chain transactions, use market and price plugins for decision making, and plug into agent frameworks to add reasoning and conversational layers. The ready examples for money transmission, commerce, investing and tokenization reduce integration time. Its extensible plugin model and contribution guides let teams add new chains, wallets or tools as needed, while TypeScript and Python support broadens language choices for production systems.
