Basic Information

Simulator Controller is a modular, extendable administration and control suite for sim racing that centralizes hardware controllers, telemetry, automation and AI assistants. It provides a plugin-capable automation framework to map Button Boxes, Stream Decks and other input devices to simulator and third-party application functions. The project bundles multiple AI-powered assistants — a Driving Coach, Race Engineer, Race Strategist and Race Spotter — which use hybrid rule engines, voice recognition and optional large language model runtimes to observe sessions, recommend actions and perform automated tasks like pitstop preparation and strategy adjustments. It also includes tools for setup creation, telemetry browsing, strategy development, team synchronization via a Team Server and support for multiple simulators through dedicated plugins. The codebase contains AutoHotkey scripts plus C#, C++ and C components for telemetry and integrations and ships with graphical configuration utilities and documentation for users and plugin developers.

Features
Includes multiple AI Race Assistants with voice dialog and optional LLM integration for natural language interaction and coaching. Plugin framework supports many simulators and third-party apps and exposes modes, actions and visual Button Box layouts. Controller and device support unifies Button Boxes, Stream Decks and input hardware with unlimited layer/mode configurations. Telemetry collection, a Setup Workbench and a Strategy Workbench provide data-driven setup recommendations and race strategy simulation. Team Server enables shared state and coordination for multiplayer team races. Builtin support for tactile and motion feedback integration, pedal calibration, visual head tracking and automated application control. Scripting support for AutoHotkey and examples in other languages are provided. Installer, release builds, extensive documentation and video tutorials are included, together with monitoring, logging and developer build tooling.
Use Cases
Simulator Controller reduces cockpit distraction by letting users control many simulator and external functions from hardware or voice while keeping hands on the wheel. AI assistants automate routine race tasks such as pitstop preparation, weather checks, damage impact estimation, and traffic warnings, and they help develop and adapt strategies during events. The Driving Coach uses telemetry to give real-time, corner-by-corner coaching and setup recommendations to improve lap times. Team Server and telemetry tools support coordinated team races and data sharing between drivers. Customizable plugins, controller mappings and graphical editors let users tailor controls and feedback to their hardware. Developers can extend functionality via provided scripting and plugin templates to integrate additional games or services.
